High School Life Groups & Other Student Ministries News

by eccoffice

Student Ministry at ECC hopes to help students from 6 - 12th grade grow in their faith and become more like Jesus by being a group that prays passionately, grows together deeply, and loves others generously. Right now, we want to let you know how you can become a part of it.

We are kicking off our Fall programming starting September 8th and wanted to let you know different ways that you can be connected with our youth ministry this year.

On Wednesday nights we have a meeting called Ignite. At Ignite students will participate in games, worship, prayer experiences, bible teaching, and grade-based conversation groups. Ignite is for both Middle School and High School students and meets every Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

On Sunday nights for Middle School we have our Collide meeting. At Collide, you’ll laugh a lot, learn how to follow Jesus, and develop friendships in small groups. Oh. and we have snacks! Collide meets from 6-7:30 p.m. on Sunday nights and kicks off on September 19th. Meet inside door #3.

For High School students on Sunday nights, we are forming brand new Life Groups. Life Groups are designed to be intentional small group communities of belonging and becoming that meet in homes. We believe that authentic community can be found and formed through the practices of eating together, reading scripture, praying for one another, serving together, and sharing fun experiences together. These groups consist of a small group of students (approximately 6-10) and two adult leaders that meet in homes. Life Groups meet on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and are broken down by grade and gender. Life Groups start September 19th. You won’t want to miss out on being a part of this community!

JOIN A LIFE GROUP

Another way to get involved in our youth ministry is through Side/Side Groups. Side by Side groups are designed for spiritual growth spurts and can meet almost anytime and anywhere. They are available to groups of 2-4 students and one adult and are designed to be 2-6 weeks long depending on the study. To get signed up for a side/side group go to the church website or use the church app.

We would love to have you join us this year and are excited to see how God shapes us and molds us through our time together and our pursuit of Jesus. To find out more about what is happening this year and to stay up to date on what’s coming up you can go to the church website or follow us on our social media pages.
