God Working Through ECC

In Poland, God showed me that despite language and cultural barriers, His love can and will knock down any wall necessary to reach others. I didn't expect that the work I did in Poland would continue to impact me even months after we returned. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who desires to see God work across different cultures!

I went on this mission trip believing I would minister to others. The reality is the women of Nicaragua ministered to me.  My heart and life are forever changed because of the love and depth of friendship that was shared. I saw Jesus in them!

I had an amazing trip with them Destiny Rescue team last year.  It’s one thing to support this ministry from home, but another to witness what they’re doing first hand.  These girls have been through the worst darkness that we can phathom, but when given a chance to join the light, they shine!  I feel truly changed through this experience.

As soon as my parents told me we had a sponsor child in Nicaragua, I wanted to meet him. I kept asking them when we were going to visit Elkin. Three years later, when I was 10, we went on a Family Trip to Nicaragua. I was so happy I got to meet Elkin. We went to his house, met his dad and mom, and had a little conversation. He and I got to play catch with a baseball I took for him. I liked playing with the kids in El Porvenir and helping to paint a chicken coop at the school, but meeting Elkin was definitely the best part if the mission trip for me.
